The majority of them are in the restauration and small business trade as they are in an area near the border which is frequented by a lot of travelers.

Awa, who has been in the restauration trade for more than 15 years, is a widow, who is 55 years old and mother to three children, including one girl. With the help of a maid she prepares means that she sells to the various travelers who are setting off for the sub-region.

With this new loan she is planning to buy three sacks of rice at 14,500FCFA per sack, a 20 liter container of oil and seasonings.

The profits she makes from this business allow her to pay for the schooling costs of her children who are registered in a private school.
