A loan of $1,525 helped to purchase assorted vegetables and greens by the ton for her business.

Lourdes's story

Lourdes is 30 years old and has three children. She lives with them in her parents home which is located in the town of Yanamarca.

Four years ago she began her business of buying and selling vegetables, grains and tubers. Her mother, who is her partner, lives in the capital and Lourdes sends her the products so that she can sell them there: "Each time that I obtain an order of foods, I send it to my mother in the capital so that she can sell it," she affirms. During the harvest season is when she has to take advantage of the opportunities to their maximum, since the foods cost very little and she can obtain a better income. Her work is very very good, since she purchases in bulk and it is then sold to smaller businesses that arrive at the largest markets in the country.

She belongs to the communal banking group "La rosa de Guadalupe" and this is her sixth credit with MFP. She is grateful for the financial support received during all these years, since she was able to administer her money carefully and make it productive. Besides, she likes the work of the communal bank very much, and thus she promises to be punctual with the repayments of the loan.

Lourdes will invest this money in the purchase of mixed vegetables and greens, by the ton, in order to continue with her business and to supply her clients.
