A loan of $1,075 helped to buy clay.

Nelson Lorenzo's story

Nelson is 34 years old, and he lives in Libertad. He is married and has five children. Consequently, his wife devotes herself to their care. The house where Nelson lives is his own, and it is made of brick. They do have water and electrical services. He makes bricks. He started this business activity because it has few expenses. Also, he learned how to do this when he worked in a quarry. Nelson comments that this work is difficult in regards to physical strength. You need to be in good shape and good health in order to give 100% to the production. He has worked in the business for several years, but this will be his first loan. He hopes to get the loan in order to buy clay, which is the raw material used to make the blocks. Nelson’s greatest fear about his work is the development of illnesses. This is because the dust becomes an enemy of the lungs. He hopes he does not suffer from any type of respiratory illness. His biggest dream is to have a larger quarry with which he could increase production and be able to distribute to different places. This way his finances would improve.
