Brigida Candida's story

Brígida, 44, is in a common law relationship; she has two children and lives in the Municipality of Victoria, Yoro. Brígida has a business selling new clothes. She started it three years ago with her own funds with the goal in mind of helping her husband by producing extra household income. The clothes she sells are women’s underwear and clothing in general like blouses, short pants, skirts, pants, etc., shoes and household items like pots, hand towels, etc. She’s gotten several ODEF loans that have helped her quite a bit to invest in her business which has led to her obtaining good profits. She’s currently requesting her 4th ODEF loan fir 20,500 lempiras to continue buying women’s underwear, blouses, pants, dresses and sandals. With this investment she intends to improve her income and to grow even more. Her plan is to save in order to provide a better life for her children.
