Biankoama Group's story

Kumba is the leader of this group of entrepreneurs. Kumba was born in Eastern Sierra Leone, about 35 years ago. She is married to a businessman and the couple has six children, all of whom are attending school. Kumba sells small foodstuffs in a food market, and has been doing this business for six years now. With the help of this loan, Kumba and her group members will be able to expand their businesses, make more sales, and consequently improve their living conditions. Kumba will use her share of the loan (SLL 500,000) to buy palm oil, sugar, flour, rice, dried fish, etc. in order to increase her inventory of goods.
