A loan of $775 helped to purchase maize, cassava, meat, fish and other ingredients to prepare the food she sells.

Efua's story

Efua operates a chop bar (food stall or shop where a variety of African dishes are sold), which she has done for 10 years. The foods she serves are fufu, banku, meat soup, fish soup, and rice balls. She is married and has 4 children. She uses her income to support her husband in paying their children’s school fees. She will use her loan to purchase maize, cassava, meat, fish and other ingredients to prepare the food she sells. With the new profit, Efua plans to open a restaurant.
