A loan of $4,025 helped a member to buy pearls, thread and needles to make necklaces.

Maty's Group's story

This banc villageois was created on 28 December 2011 on the initiative of its members. They all live in the same community, and have a good relationship with one another.

Mbayang, who is pictured standing to the right of the photo with her left hand raised, is 38 years of age. She is divorced, and has one daughter. She works in retail, and plans to use her loan to buy pearls, thread and needles to make necklaces and bracelets. She then sells these items for profit.

Mbayang uses her profits to buy products, which boosts her necklace and bracelet selling business, and she also puts some money aside for her savings.
