A loan of $525 helped to buy bags of maize.

Rebecca's story

Rebecca produces fanti kenkey (fermented maize dough wrapped in banana/plantain leaves) which she sells in Ayensudu, near Elmina. She has been selling fanti kenkey for 10 years now. She is married to a farmer and has nine dependants.

Rebecca uses her income to support her husband and pay their children's school fees. Her loan will be used to buy bags of maize for the production of her kenkey. She hopes to use the new profits to expand her business.
