The Wangnina 7 group is made up of three friends who live in the same district. The representative of this group, whose name is Gilbert, is the one with his hand raised in the photo. He is 25 years old and married to a merchant by the name of Aminath. The couple has two children, both in their care and one of which is their own child. Gilbert lives with his wife and children. The couple cover the various household expenses between them. Gilbert attended school very little but learnt the refrigeration trade and has been practising this profession for a year; it procures him a non-negligible income. Apart from this, Gilbert also sends refrigerator parts. This enables him to respond to his family's needs without any great difficulty. With a view to responding better to customer demand he would like to boost his stock and increase his business volume. In order to do this he would like to obtain a first loan from Alidé, together with the other members of the Wangnina 7 group.

Le groupe WANGNINA 7 est formé de trois personnes qui sont des amies résidant dans le même quartier. Le représentant de ce groupe, nommé Gilbert, est celle dont la main est levée sur la photo. Gilbert est âgé de 25 ans et est mariée à une marchande du nom de Aminath. Le couple a deux enfants, tous à leur charge dont un est leur propre enfant. Gilbert vit ensemble avec sa femme et ses enfants. Le couple assure ensemble les différentes charges du ménage. Gilbert a peu fréquenté l’école mais a appris le métier de frigoriste, activité qu’il exerce depuis un an et qui lui procure des revenus non négligeables. En dehors de cette activité, Gilbert vend des pièces frigorifiques. Ce qui lui permet de répondre sans grande difficulté aux besoins de sa famille. Dans le souci de mieux répondre aux exigences de sa clientèle désire renforcer ses stocks de produits et rehausser le niveau de son activité. Pour ce faire, Gilbert désire auprès de ALIDé, un premier crédit, ensemble avec les autres membres du groupe WANGNINA 7.

Alidé is a Beninese NGO that works to reduce poverty by offering sustainable access to productive loans like this one in addition to savings, training sessions, and social work to low-income families.

Supporters of this loan should be aware that there is some risk of being repaid late. Because the Beninois Ministry of Finance has imposed restrictions on the amount of money Alidé can send to Kiva, the organization can only send monthly repayments in installments smaller than $13,000. This means that some Kiva lenders may receive their repayments late. However, Alidé remains a healthy institution in good standing with its creditors, and Kiva would like to continue working to support its clients.
