La cliente Katungu est un entrepreneur ambitieux, présidente du groupe de crédit Tuinuane, âgée de 42 ans, mère de 5 jeunes enfants. Son mari est infirmier. Elle est vendeuse des épices (tomates, arachides, oignons, tangausi, etc.) Elle commença son business avec son fonds propre reçu de son mari, il ya environs 4 ans. Elle bénéficia de crédit de l’IMF Hekima vers les années 2010. Elle installe ses produits au marché central de Virunga. Ce nouveau crédit doit lui servir de s’approvisionner avec 4 bidons d’huile végétale, tangausi, tomates, etc. En plus, elle ambitionne augmenter son épargne enfin d’ouvrir d’autres activités génératrices de revenu. Les bénéfices de son activité lui permettent de payer aisement les frais scolaires, la nourriture,les soins médicaux, etc., pour sa famille. Ainsi, elle remercie Hekima pour son appui et autonomisation des petits entrepreneurs femmes.

HEKIMA is a microfinance institution headquartered in Goma, Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), with branch offices in Goma and Bukavu. HEKIMA aims to contribute to the transformation of the economic, social, and spiritual lives of the economically active poor of the DRC. To this end, HEKIMA provides its clients with solidarity group loans to support income-generating activities. Despite ongoing instability and violence in its operating areas, HEKIMA continues to keep its doors open and provide credit and savings services for its over 90% female clientele.
