A loan of $400 helped to buy farm supplies.

Hector Antonio's story

Héctor lives with his mother and his wife; he has a son. He’s a small-scale farmer growing corn, tobacco and beans. He’s been in this activity for nine years having learned it from his father. He does it to support his family.

He’s asking for a loan because the planting season is starting and he must buy manure, herbicide, corn seeds and other farm supplies needed for the crops. The loan will help him to have everything necessary to do his work in order to obtain better production that will generate higher profits.

His hope is to expand his crops year to year and to start new ways of growing other fruit since this will provide him with the opportunity to generate more income for his family.
