A loan of $200 helped to buy seafood.

Maria Marta's story

María sells seafood. It’s a very variable business that’s she’s been in for the last ten years. She also sells vegetables as an alternative when seafood sales drop. She lives with her son and her house is hers. Her husband does not live with her but does help economically.

She’s asking for a loan to invest in the business. She will buy a variety of seafood like different species of fish, shrimp and clams. This will give her the opportunity of improving her inventory and the variety of products in the business.

Her hope is to have a vehicle for the business in the future that will allow her to get from where she buys back home to sell to her customers; she also wants to increase her sales levels.
