Comenzó por medio de la motivación de su madre, quien le indicó que ponga su propio negocio y trabaje como una persona independiente. También se dedica a la venta de cosméticos desde hace 2 años. Con su esfuerzo y trabajo, Karen ha logrado construir su casa. Actualmente ella cubre los gastos de agua, luz y teléfono; mientras que su esposo cubre los gastos de alimentación y educación de sus hijos.
