A loan of $200 helped to buy bananas, watermelons, strawberries, potatoes, chayotes and plantains.

Maria Esperanza's story

María sells fruit and vegetables. She works from Monday to Saturday, in the mornings, and travels to a number of different districts. She lives with two of her children who work and help her financially with the household expenses.

María is requesting a loan to buy a variety of fresh fruit and vegetables: bananas, watermelons, strawberries, potatoes, chayotes, plantains and others that her customer request. This loan will help her to increase her business and improve her customer offerings.

María's aim is to further strengthen her business as she depends on it to cover her personal expenses. It will also benefit her children.
