Phors is 40 years old. She is married and resides with four children in Kandal Province, Cambodia. She and her husband are sculptors who earn about $10 each day. Her son helps her run the business. Her daughter runs a food store. She earns about $3 daily. Due to the difficulty in her family’s transportation, Phors is requesting a loan of $1500 to purchase a motorbike for commuting. In addition, a part of this money is used to buy the tree trunks to use for sculpting. This money will help her expand her business and earn more income to support the family. In the future, she would like to rebuild her present house to make it more convenient for her family, and send her children to a good school.
