A loan of $750 helped a member to buy fertilizers for her farmland.

Touch's Group's story

Touch, who is 45 years old, is a rural villager from the Dambae district. She earns a living by planting cassava, which is her family's main source of income, and she has been in this business for twelve years. She has three children who are dependent and are still in school.

Touch’s group consists of three members who are all female. This is her third loan with Kiva’s partner, VisionFund, and she has completely paid back her previous loans. They have helped her to better support her family. Now Touch is leading her group to apply for a loan of 1,000,000 KHR each. She will use her portion to buy fertilizers for her farmland and use a portion to pay for labor and land plowing. She hopes this loan will enable her to increase her crop yields and to sell them for a good price to make a better living.
