Shahlo H. lives in Vahdat. She is married and has 3 children. She has a community college degree. She does not have a job. She helps her husband provide for the family by selling milk. Shahlo has steady clients from whom she buys milk at low prices and then travels out of the area to re-sell it. This is a profitable business. Shahlo has her own cow, but the cow does not give any milk. If she had a milk cow, her profits would nearly double and she would also be able to lower her prices. This would make the milk she sells more affordable for the local people. This is why she is seeking a loan of $1025 to buy a good dairy cow. She plans to repay her loan within 6 months.
