Batlut's story

Batlut, 52, lives with her husband and four children in a ger (a Mongolian yurt) in Tosontsengel, Mongolia. Her husband is a disabled man who receives social welfare from state. Batlut started her business cutting organic hay with a rental tractor in 2011. Her husband and children help with her business. She sells her organic hay to local herders. Her business is sustainable and she has already gotten many regular customers. But, her business income is not sufficient to provide for her family.

Batlut wants to expand her business. Therefore, she needs to buy her own tractor. She is hardworking and a good natured woman. She said, "I have worked for my children's future. I want to increase my business income in order to provide enough money for my family." She is requesting 2,200,000 MNT to buy her own tractor to use in her business.
