A loan of $400 helped to buy barnyard fowl and feed.

Rosa's story

Rosa, 65, is married and has a dependent son. She lives in the rural part of Mórrope District; she has running water. The place is a small community with about 20 families. Despite her age, Rosa continues to work hard seeking to have a dignified quality of life.

The activity she carries out is raising animals to sell. She has cattle, sheep and barnyard fowl; she currently has three heifers. She’s been doing this for over 30 years. The business is located at home. She has spacious corrals there and each one is set up according to the type of animal that’s raised there. She learned this activity from her parents, that is to say she knows it to perfection.

She will use the loan to buy barnyard fowl to raise and to buy feed for them. She has competition but also a large market to sell in.
