A loan of $400 helped to buy more livestock and balanced feed.

Jose's story

José, 30, lives with his partner and has one child in his care. He lives in his own house, located in the Tambogrande district about 10 minutes from the center of Tambogrande on the left bank of the Piura River. He works raising sheep (eight head), pigs (five head), and poultry. He has done this work for five years. He also works as a farmworker on neighboring plots of land. Between these two jobs José tries to support the well-being of his family and give his son an education and health.

Thinking about the future and his business prospects, José is requesting a loan to acquire more livestock and to buy balanced feed for the animals. He is knowledgeable about the proper nourishment of animals.

In the area there is a lot of pasture for raising sheep because it is the rainy season, which helps to raise more livestock.
