A loan of $450 helped to invest in the purchase of merchandise, namely quilts for resale.

Shirley Lindaura's story

Señora Shirley, aged 19, is the mother of two children, a boy of 2 and a girl of 1. She sells music DVDs in her store that she has installed in her home located in the Villa Fátima area. From time to time she travels to the town of Coroico to offer her products. This is her first loan with the microfinance institution Emprender. She will use it to buy quilts wholesale, because she intends to venture into this new activity, since now in winter there is a high demand for them. Shirley faces challenges in her business due to the lack of cash to buy these products. She will use her profit to continue to buy a variety of products for resale according to the season. Her wish is to have her business grow and help her family, as this is the activity that enables her to provide for her family.
