A loan of $925 helped to purchase a cow.

Neli's story

Neli is 47 years old. She is married and lives in a small village in Sagarejo District with her family: husband – Guram and their 27 year-old son. The family earns their living through agricultural activities. They have 2 milk cows and a calf. They produce dairy food: cheese, curds and yogurt and sell them on the local open market.

Along with agricultural activities, Neli and her son are agricultural workers. They help neighbor farmers and get service fees for their work. They work hard but their income is hardly enough for food and everyday expenses for the three-member family. The total average monthly income of the family is 700 Lari.

Neli requested a loan for purchasing an additional milk cow. This will help her expand her dairy farm. Neli will be able to produce more dairy food and since there is a great demand for her products at the market, she will sell them for a good price. This will increase the family income accordingly and she will be able to improve the family's living conditions.
