A loan of $4,375 helped a member to increase her retail shop inventory.

Monrovian Group's story

Asma, who is in her late 30s, is married and has one child who goes to school. She has had a retail shop for two years now. She works from 8:00 am to 9:00 pm daily and is able to make a good monthly profit.

This will be her 8th loan from Tujijenge Tanzania. Asma used the previous loans to restock the missing items in her shop, buy a TV set and a radio, and to pay school fees, and she has paid back all her loans successfully. She wants a loan to increase her retail shop inventory. Her dream is to one day have a very big retail shop.

Asma will share this loan with her loan group "Monrovian," which has 16 members who will hold each other accountable for paying back the loan.
