A loan of $400 helped to buy a milk cow.

Marlene's story

Marlene is 40 years old. She lives with her two children in the house that she bought three years ago in the Yanamarca area. She has four cows of good breeds. "My animals are my greatest treasure," she states. Every morning she cares for them with great conscientiousness, since from them she gets an average of 36 liters of milk a day, which she sells to one of the principal dairy processors. And when her cows have male calves, she sells them at the livestock fair in the city. But when they are pregnant, they lower their production, and so she is thinking of buying a cow of good quality with which she will be able to continue with the quantity of milk that she produces now and. if possible, increase it.

She belongs to the communal bank "Las Abejitas" (The Little Bees), and this is her first loan with MFP. She is grateful for the opportunity to progress that they offer her, since she will begin to improve her business with these loans.

Marlene will invest this money in the purchase of a milk cow, since she doesn't want to lower her production.
