A loan of $400 helped to buy more cheese and meat to sell.

Margarita's story

Margarita is 23 years old. She has lived alone for 3 years in a rented house in the Ataura area.

The challenge that she has to face is very great. She left home to go to school and prepare for a career. With her work she pays for her studies in education at a local university. Maintaining her finances is very difficult, and so she works on small projects on a temporary basis, and from this she obtains a stable income. Furthermore, her principal business activity is centered on buying and selling cheese, meat, and milk products in the capital of the country, where she travels every Friday and returns every Sunday. Her work is of vital importance, since on those days she obtains the greater part of her monthly earnings. "There are days in which I have orders, and I only need to deliver the products, because they are already paid for," she confirms.

She has just joined the communal bank "Nuevo Amanecer" (New Dawn). This is her first loan with MFP, and for this reason she promises to be punctual in her payments.

Margarita will invest the money in the purchase of more cheese and meat to fill the orders of her customers.
