A loan of $975 helped purchase two rolls of cloth, 30 page (traditional loincloths) and 8 bazins (another traditional article of clothing).

Affoussa Evelyne's story

Affoussa Evelynen is married and the mother of three children aged between 10 years and 3 years old, 2 of whom attend school. She has been selling cloths, pagnes and bazins (both traditional articles of clothing in Benin) for several years. She stocks up in a market in Benin and her customers live in the neighborhoods surrounding her home. She is asking for a loan in order to purchase more merchandise. She wants to use her profits to help her children attend school and save the remaining funds. She hopes to some day be able to purchase adequate medicines for her children when needed and support her husband in the building of their home.
