A loan of $2,400 helped a member to buy more sacks of charcoal and start selling new clothes.


Level One Group's story

Matha, who is in her middle 50s, is married with four grown-up children. She has been running a charcoal business for two years now. She works from 7.00 am to 6.00 pm daily and is able to make a good monthly profit.

This will be her 1st loan from Tujijenge Tanzania which she wants to use for buying more sacks of charcoal and to start selling new clothes. Her dream is to one day be an international businesswoman.

Matha will share this loan with her loan group "Level One" which has a total of 12 members who will hold each other accountable for paying back the loan.
