Séraphine Alodo's story

Séraphine Alodo is married and the mother of four children, three of whom are still in school. With four dependents, she sells traditional “pagnes” fabric, “sodabi” [a traditional hard liquor] and buttons. She stocks up a the Benin markets. Her customer base is large and diverse, composed of Beninians and Nigerians. With the goal of meeting customer demand and maximizing her profit, she has requested and obtained a loan from Finadev. This loan will allow her to buy some “pagnes” set, sodabi and boxes of buttons. Séraphine Alodo would like to help pay for the education of her children and put money aside as savings. Her goal is to help her husband build a house for the family.
