A loan of $1,400 helped to buy a reaper to harvest the fodder that she needs to feed her daily cows.

Flora's story

Flora is married and has four school age children. They live in four rooms that have adobe walls and dirt floors. The house is located in the Viacha community, which is one hour from the city of La Paz.

She only went to elementary school. She now does agricultural work, makes cheese, and produces milk. She works for over 12 hours a day. She does this because she needs to cover the expenses for her family’s food, education, and services.

She needs the loan to buy a reaper to harvest the fodder that she needs to feed her daily cows. The reaper will be a great help in her work because it will make it much easier.

Flora’s dream is to improve her income and to sell more milk and cheese. She wants this in order to be able to cover her children’s university expenses. That way she will improve their quality of life.

This is the second loan she has requested from IMPRO and Kiva.
