A loan of $325 helped to purchase more red oil, flour, sugar, rice, and onions for her business.

Elizabeth's story

Elizabeth is 39 years old and lives in the Jacob Town area. She is married and has four children between the ages of 12 and 17 who all live at home and attend school.

For the past 12 years, Elizabeth has been involved in the sale of red oil, flour, sugar, rice, and onions. Her main challenges are the rise of prices and the low quantity of goods. She started this business with help from her husband who gave her money, and she learned her business from her mother. Elizabeth says what she like about this business is that during the dry season she earns more money and what makes her proud is that the business enables her to send her children to school. Elizabeth has requested this loan to purchase more red oil, flour, sugar, rice, and onions for her business. She hopes in future to build a house.
