A loan of $4,450 helped a member to buy more materials and fabrics for her tailoring business.

Mt. Rungwe Group's story

Benadetha, who is in her early 30s, is married, with five children who go to school. She has been a tailor for four years now. She works from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily, and she is able to make a small monthly profit.

This will be her second loan from Tujijenge Tanzania. She used the previous loan to start selling fabrics. She bought materials for making more clothes, and she paid school fees and household expenses. She paid off that loan successfully. She wants a loan to buy more materials and fabrics. Her dream is one day to be able to build her own house

Benadetha will share this loan with her loan group "Mt. Rungwe," which has 16 members who will hold one other accountable for paying back their loans.

In this group: Benadetha, Mgoto, Tatu, Zamzam Said, Ramadhani, Hamisi, Amina, Bora, Salama, Abdalah, Halima, Habibu, Neema, Mariam, Husna, Rehema
