A loan of $600 helped to buy a display case, oil, grease, tires and spare parts.

Rnald's story

Ronald, 30, lives with his wife and 3-year-old son in the beautiful city of Cartagena de Indias, on the Caribbean coast, one of the most beautiful tourist areas in Colombia. It is well-known for having one of the main naval bases of the country, and for its historic-artistic heritage that ranges over the Carthaginian, Roman, and Byzantine eras, with military buildings both modern and contemporary, as well as neoclassic and modernist. In this fantastic place, he has a modest repair shop where he maintains and repairs motorcycles. Through his business he earns enough to support his family and also pays two hired workers. His main customers are motorcycle-taxis and workers who use a motorcycle for their job.

In his workshop, Ronald has the necessary equipment to carry out his trade with quality. His goal is to have a spare parts warehouse where his customers can buy what they need to keep their vehicles in good condition. His main challenge is not having enough working capital to respond to his immediate needs toward that goal. This is why Ronald is requesting a CrediKiva loan, so he can buy a display case, oil, grease, tires and spare parts in general. He believes the investment will be successful because it will allow him to meet the demand and keep his customers from having to go elsewhere to buy parts to keep their vehicles in perfect running order, or as they say on the coast, "Como una Uva" (to be in shape).
