Pream H., of Siem Reap Province, Cambodia, is 42 years old and employed by a local golf course, making $3 U.S. per day while her husband, a construction worker, makes $2 U.S. per day. The couple has five children. one of whom works with his father in construction, adding $3 U.S. per day to the family income. Because Pream H.’s work is an appreciable distance from her home, she is requesting a loan of $500 in order to purchase a motorbike to use for commuting.
