A loan of $1,150 helped buy more animals to stock up her business.

Raquilda's story

Raquilda, 49, is married to Jorge, with whom she has 5 children, only one of which lives at home. She owns her own house in the area Daniel Hernández.

Her principal activity during the week is to buy and sell sheep. She amasses sheep from farms and then goes off to sell them for the best offer at different animal fairs in her area. She’s well-known in her area because she travels quite a bit. The festival in honor of the animals is coming up at this time. “There my income increases, as I not only sell sheep, also pigs, cows, bulls and donkeys. I have to take advantage of the festival as it’s only once a year”, she comments. The same way, but with her husband, she sells firewood; they buy trees and chop wood themselves to sell it in the city where they have clients. Parallel to that job, her husband works in construction, renovating different houses and building others. Thisis the way they hope to generate more income and maintain family stability.

This is her 8th loan with MFP, where she awaits another small loan so she can meet her objectives. She promises, once again, to meet her payments. Also, she enjoys being part of the group because all of the members are responsible and united people.

Raquilda will invest the loan in buying more animals to stock up her business.
