Lester Antonio's story

Lester is a young man who is 29 years of age and a resident of Granada. He is married and the father of three dependent children. His two older children are currently in school. Lester is a merchant who has managed a welding business for the past three years. He received vocational training in metalwork. Lester started welding after he finished his technical studies. After he got married, Lester decided to become independent because he needed to generate income for his family. He began performing welding jobs in his community. In his business he has no one supporting him so he must move forward by himself. In addition to managing his welding business, Lester also works as a bricklayer in order to earn additional income. He previously helped his mother manage a vegetable stand that she owns in Granada.

Lester wants to deliver his customers’ orders on time and according to specification. For this reason he is requesting a loan in order to buy tools, welding equipment, a compressor, a drill, and a polisher. All of these supplies are needed for his work. He estimates that this loan will be helpful because he will be able to invest in his business and complete his work faster. As a result, he will generate more income. His plans for the future include setting up his own welding shop since he currently travels to job sites throughout the city of Granada. His goal is to continue working since this is something he enjoys doing and it allows him to move his family forward.
