A loan of $500 helped to buy beans, rice, and sugar by the quintal.

Jairo Enrique's story

Jairo, age 24, is from Granada. He is married and works as a merchant, selling groceries. He has two children who live with him. He started working at a very young age, helping his mother who worked in the same area. This is where he got his experience and mastery of the business. Later, he married and decided to become independent; he opened his own business in his home at the age of 22. This was his first business, and his wife helps him to sell his products in the areas surrounding the community. He is requesting this loan for the purchase of beans, rice, and sugar by the quinal. He believes that this will be helpful because he will be able to invest in his business and increase his sales, generating more income.
His plan for the future is to keep working in his business, since it is something that he enjoys doing and he has been able to succeed. His next goal is to have a second business, a general store, in order to have another income and to get his family ahead.
