A loan of $500 helped to buy more cosmetics for her shop.


Eunice's story

Eunice is twenty-nine years old, divorced, and the mother of two children. Her children are currently in school. With her first loan from Sinapi, she has been able to sell cosmetics, such as body lotion, hair pomade, body powder, and varieties of deodorants, in her village market for the past six months.

Eunice wants to use this loan to buy more products, so that she can expand her business. She also plans to use some of her proceeds to register for National Health Insurance, so that she and the children will have access to free medical care.



She a member of the group called “Mpaebo Tiefo” (meaning Prayer Listening God). Members agree to guarantee for each other as social collateral to repay the loan.
