A loan of $850 helped to buy 40 chickens and food to fatten them up, so that she can start raising chickens once again.

Ligia Amparo's story

Ligia is a single mother, responsible for providing for her son, who she has always wanted to ensure a good quality of life and for whom she always works hard trying to improve the household income. However, she has faced many adversities that have made her struggle even harder to be able to provide for her family. To generate income, Ligia previously raised chickens, and thanks to the high quality of her products, this provided her with economic stability. However, due to circumstances beyond her control she had to move house a few months ago and she was forced to give up raising chickens as there was not enough room in the new house. With great effort, she has managed to set up a chicken run again in the new house and is therefore requesting a loan to buy 40 chickens and food to fatten them up, so that she can start raising chickens once again. Her greatest wish is to start generating household income again and be able to get through this difficult period in her life, so that her son can benefit from having access to a high quality education.
