A loan of $575 helped to stock up on merchandise for resale.

Eleine's story

Mrs. Eleine is a married woman who lives in Senegal. She became a merchant in 2000, selling smoked fish, palm oil and shrimp by order to retailers from various markets in her district, on credit. She is a member of the local U-IMCEC branch, and has previously received and repaid one loan.

She is seeking a loan of 300,000F to expand her business, to meet the needs of a growing customer base, and to bolster the profits earned through her activity. This will allow her to fulfill her social needs, to pay for her children’s tuition and transportation, and to pay for repairs to the family’s home.

Her goal is to become a leader in her sector of activity, particularly in the field of import-export.
