A loan of $1,150 helped to have his clay oven fixed.

Hector Wilfredo's story

Hector is 33 years old and he lives with his wife and their 3 children aged 1, 4 and 6, whom he deeply loves and for whom he works really hard so that they can both enjoy a more dignified life and become better professionals than himself. Whenever he has some free time, Hector loves engaging in DIY works in his house, but he also likes eating one of his favorite dishes, the delicious “Estofado”* and sharing it with his family. He has studied Mechanical Engineering.

Hector works every day in his shop, selling ornamental fish and bread. He works around 10 hours a day and he can serve up to 15 customers per day. Thanks to his income he is able to pay for his household expenses. He thinks his activity is going well because he is a very hard-working person and he is very kind with his customers.

Hector is deeply grateful to Kiva lenders because thanks to their support he will be able to fix the clay oven he uses to prepare his bread: since it is broken, Hercto has had a few problems in baking his bread. Through this mean he will have the machine he needs to keep on working and to keep on engaging in making his biggest dream come true: “To have his children pursue a profession”.

*“Estofado” is a chicken or beef stew.
