Erick Suheyl's story

Erick is a 19-year-old young man and he lives in the district of Ingenio, Nazca, Peru.

The district of Ingenio is known for developing in agriculture, specially the farming of prickly pear, cochineal, beans, Lima beans, fruit trees like mango and orange and others, One can also find the church of San José [Saint Joseph] which is built on the way of and dates from the colonial era. Ingenio also stands out for its gastronomy, specially the preparation of the delicious "Chicharrones" [fried pork rind] which are Erick's favourite dish.

On his free time Erick enjoys listening to music, but every once in a while he likes to go away or talk with his friends from his neighbourhood.

Erick studied to be an obstetrician but he would like to study Business management.

With lots of enthusiasm Erick works in his business selling sodas, beers and groceries in bulk, he works around 10 hours a day and offers his products to the different settlements that are in his district specially when there are celebrations for the feast day of a town's patron saint which is when he sells his products in bigger quantities.

He believes that his business is going well because he is very organised and because he knows the settlements very well and he know when are the celebrations in the surrounding zones and so his customers always look for him.

Erick is really grateful with Kiva lenders because thanks to the help they have provided him he will be able to buy merchandise for his business like sweets, domestic use products like dishes, glasses, jars and others because his customers are always asking him these products. This way he will have a bigger variety of products and will be able to improve his profits, then he will be able to keep his business growing and then realise one of his biggest dreams, to buy a vehicle to be able to transport his products.
