A loan of $1,100 helped to buy merchandise for her little store.

Belgica's story

With 42,000 pesos, Bélgica will be able to purchase merchandise to increase her little store's inventory. Four years ago Bélgica opened her store as a way to avoid being in the house all day since her husband wanted her to stay home and care for the children. So she opened the store in the mornings while the children were in school and in the afternoons she stayed at home to care for them.

She never imagined that the store would become a source of support for her family. A year ago Bélgica was widowed all of a sudden when her husband was killed in an accident. Bélgica has three children who are 9, 7, and 4 years old in addition to raising a child of her husband's who is 16 years old. This sudden change has not been easy for Bélgica but with the support and prayers of her family and friends, she has gotten ahead.
