A loan of $1,100 helped to buy merchandise for her vegetable stand.

Nailan's story

With 42,000 pesos, Nailan will be able to purchase merchandise for her vegetable and grocery stand. Twelve years ago Nailan decided to start this vegetable and grocery stand in the local market. One of her siblings recommended it and she does not regret having taken the advice. Nailan also wants to make a few repairs to her vegetable stand with this loan so that she can offer better service to her customers.

Juana is married and her husband works for the electric company. They have five children who are 19, 15, 13, and 11 years old. The eldest is at university and the other are in school. All of her children take turns during the week to help her at the vegetable stand when they get our of school. Her children are the reason why she gets up early every morning to select the freshest vegetables. She wants her children to continue studying and just like her eldest, go to university.
