A loan of $1,000 helped to buy agricultural supplies so that he will get a good harvest of corn.

Marío Leonel's story

Mario, 29, is married and has 2 children. He has been farming ever since he was a child; his father taught him to farm. He has been farming for 15 years, and he lives with his wife and his child.

He gets up at 4am in order to milk his cows. Later he takes them to feed in the pastures that are 3 kilometers from his house. After this, he proceeds to his 21,000 square meters of land to work. He walks 6 kilometers to get to the bus stop, so that he can get to the city to buy farming supplies for his corn fields.

He is requesting a loan from Fundacion Campo to buy farming supplies so that he can get a good harvest of corn. With the income he receives from the sale of his harvest he hopes to do construction work on his house, because it is a wattle and daub house, and he wants to have a decent home for his family.
