Manuel Mesias's story

Manuel Mesías is 30 years old, single, and has no children. He lives with his mother and other relatives in San Miguel, which is in Bolívar Province.

Manuel is a member of the Communal Bank “Patron San Miguel”, which is located in the community of Paila Loma in the canton of San Miguel. This community is 40 minutes away from the Chillanes branch office of Cooperativa San José. The members of this Communal Bank engage in agriculture and livestock breeding.

Manuel Mesías is a farmer who grows corn, beans, potatoes, blackberries, and peas. He also raises cattle, pigs, and chickens. Manuel also manages a carpentry workshop. He is requesting a loan in order to buy supplies for his crops, such as fertilizers and compost. Manuel will also buy wood and a saw. He will be able to buy fertilizers with the help of this loan. His purchases will be made in San Pablo.

Manuel dreams are to buy a plot of land and to own a house. The challenges he faces include dealing with bad weather and occasional losses.

In his free time, Manuel enjoys practicing sports and going out for walks.
