Rosario's story

Rosario is 38 years old and lives together with her husband who is her right-hand man, her source of support and, above all, her best friend. He works in a small hairdressing business. The couple have three children who are 14 years, 4 years and 1 year old. Rosario's children are the biggest blessing and gift that God has given her. She works hard in order to offer them a decent life. Above all, she wants to be a good example of hard work and humility. Her home is located in the city of Nazca. This city is known for its hot climate. It is also a city with a lot of tourist attractions such as the Nazca lines, the Cahuachi pyramids, the Chauchilla cemetery and the Cantalloc aqueducts. These places allow us to admire the grandeur of the Nazca culture and clear our heads. Whenever Rosario has any free time, she really enjoys watching television, especially her favorite soap operas. She also occasionally takes the opportunity to cook one of her favorite dishes, the delicious 'chicken and rice'. With the support of her parents, Rosario managed to study for a degree in tourism but she was not able to find work.

Rosario works with a lot of enthusiasm in her business selling groceries. She works around 12 hours a day and can serve up to 20 customers. She believes that her business is doing well because she is very friendly with her customers and, above all, she offers good-quality products at prices that are affordable for her customers.

Rosario is very grateful to Kiva lenders because, thanks to their helps, she will be able to buy merchandise for her business such as beer, eggs, soda, rice in bulk, sugar, etc. This will allow her to have a wider variety of products to offer her customers and she will therefore improve her income and continue growing her business and working hard so that she can fulfill her biggest dream: to build her own home and provide her children with a good education.
