A loan of $800 helped to buy two more cows, improved seed, fertilizers and manure for cultivating 7,000 square meters of land; among other items.

Oscar's story

Don Oscar is 52. He is married with two children, but both now have their own households. He has raised and sold cattle for over twenty years; this has always been his job. He currently has four cows. He also cultivates corn, sorghum, and beans for his family's consumption and for sale. He learned this work from his family, particularly from his father.
He raises the livestock and then sells them in a livestock market three kilometers from his home.
He is requesting a loan from Fundacion Campo for the purchase of two more cows, improved seed, fertilizers, and manure for cultivating 7,000 square meters of land, among other items. He will make this investment with the goal of increasing his livestock holdings and obtaining a higher production and higher sales. His desire is to be able to buy a plot of land where his livestock can graze so that he does not have to keep renting land for this purpose. He would also reap his own ground.
