A loan of $5,000 helped to pay rent for his shop, buy two phones, some T-shirts, and stationery.

Msanide's story

This is 30-year-old Msanide. He is married and has a 7-year-old son who is in grade one. Msanide has just completed a training with Mobile Transactions to start running his own mobile money transfers shop.

Msanide is excited to start running his own business because he sees this as a way for him and his family to be empowered. He says the profits he will be getting from his business will help him provide for his family.

When he gets the loan, Msanide will be able to start his business by paying rent for his shop, buying two phones to use for transactions, and procuring some T-shirts and stationery.

He is hopeful that once he gets the Kiva loan, he will be able to start to save up enough money to see his son through college.

In the Video, a representative from Mobile Transactions interviews Msanide.
