A loan of $1,025 helped to buy coffee seedlings.

Yeiner's story

Yeiner is a young man of 20 who has spent his whole life alongside his parents, helping them to sow and harvest their different crops. For this reason, he knows his work well. Yeiner now lives with his partner with whom he intends to form his own family. With this in mind, he has plans to achieve goals and get ahead in life. He lives in a community in the south of Costa Rica, in Concepción de Pilas, in Puntarenas province. The local economy is agriculture based. In particular, people sow tubers, coffee, corn and beans, and raise livestock.

Yeiner is requesting a loan for 500,000 colones to buy coffee seedlings so that he can prepare more seedbeds and then sell to other producers. This product is very much sought-after among local coffee farmers.

Yeiner is very young and he has set himself many goals. He is a hard-working, positive person who is full of hope. This will be his first loan.

Yeiner is a member of La Danta Community Credit Company, one of EDESA's 150 member organizations in Costa Rica.
