A loan of $1,050 helped to purchase manure and fertilizer for his coffee crop and to pay laborers.

Wualter Alexis's story

Wualter is 26 years old, married, and has a 2 year old son. His wife is a housewife and they have a very united, responsible, respectful, and honest family. They live in the community of La Esperanza, Trojes, El Paraíso.

For six years, Wualter has worked cultivating coffee. He started working with his father who taught him since he was very young to plant. His work schedule is 6:00am until 2:00pm. The advantage is that his business is secure, and the disadvantage is that the harvest is one time a year.

Wualter is asking for this loan to purchase manure, fertilizer, and pay laborers. This loan will help improve his farm so that he can have a better harvest. The challenges he faces as a producer are the lowering of prices and that he has to deal with middlemen who want to purchase his product at a very low price.

One of his dreams is to improve his farm to have better coffee production. This is his second loan with FAMA and he has always made his payments on time.
